3. Security measures
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection in your browser’s address line when it changes from “http://” to “https://” and the lock icon is displayed in your browser’s address bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.
4. Data collection on our website
4.1 Usage data
When you visit our website, the device you are using and the internet browser you use to access our website automatically transmit log data to our server. This log data particularly includes the names of the files accessed (web pages), the volume of data transferred, the type and version of the web browser used, the operating system used (type and version), the date and time the website is accessed, the referrer URL (the website from which you were sent to our website via a link) and the IP address of the requesting computer. After it is no longer technically required for accessing the website, the IP address is stored for statistical evaluation exclusively in abbreviated (anonymised) form.
The automatically transmitted data described above is collected and evaluated exclusively for the purpose of the proper and optimal presentation of the information offered and for the purpose of statistical evaluations. The legal basis of the processing of such log data is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure that our website is properly presented. Please note that it is not possible for us to assign the data automatically transmitted to the server to specific natural persons, i.e. it is fundamentally impossible to directly identify you based on the automatically transmitted data. We would like to inform you, however, of the fact that with the cooperation of your internet access provider, it could theoretically be possible to determine the holder of the internet connection through which you access our site over a specific period of time on the basis of the transmitted IP address. Information on the duration of the storage of used and assigned IP addresses by the internet access provider is provided by your internet access provider.
4.2 Contact form
Should you send us questions via the contact form, we will collect the data entered by you, including the contact details you provide.
- Why do we collect such data?
We will collect the data entered by you on the contact form to answer your question and any follow-up questions you may have.
We will process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient. Please refer to section 6 for more information. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, that does not make the data processing carried out by us prior to receiving your request unlawful.
- How long do we retain such data?
We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.
4.3 Funding Requests
Should you submit a pitch to us via the funding request submission form to request funding, we will collect the data entered by you, including the contact details you provide.
- Why do we collect such data?
We will collect the data entered by you on the submission form to evaluate your funding request and to reach out to you in case we consider your project interesting.
We will retain the data you provide on the submission form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after we inform you that we do not consider your project further). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.
- Who has access to your data?
Your data submitted through the submission form is transferred and stored in a central TVM database. All TVM group entities have access to this database. The central database is operated by Affinity, 170 Columbus Ave, Floor 3, San Francisco, CA 94133 with whom we have a data processing agreement in place.
4.4 WP Statistics
On our website we use the analysis plugin WP Statistics. This plugin has been developed by the software company Veronalabs (Estonia, Reg no: 16160131). The plugin allows us to receive simple statistics on how you as a user interact with our website.
WP Statistics is an analysis software which was specially developed for websites that use the WordPress content management system. WordPress helps us to easily edit our website even without any programming knowledge. With the help of WP Statistics, we obtain simple statistics that help us to continuously improve and make our website even more interesting for you. WP Statistics may for example collect data about how long you stay on our website, what subpages you visit, how many visitors are on our website or which website led you to us.
Please note that WP Statistics does not set any cookies and you cannot be personally identified by the collected data. Therefore, we are not processing any data through WP Statistics that would be considered your personal data pursuant to data protection legislation.
4.5 YouTube
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of YouTube is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
- How do the YouTube plugins work?
If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Here the YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you’re logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube allows you to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
- Why do we use YouTube plugins?
YouTube is used to help make our website appealing. The legal basis of this data processing is your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. When you visit our website, a cookie notice advises you on the use of YouTube plugins and asks for your consent to the use of such service. Please note that although you are not required to provide consent, however, if you refuse to provide your consent, you might not be able to access the YouTube content from our website. In this event, you would need to access the relevant YouTube content directly on the YouTube website.
- Information on the processing of your data
Please note that we have no influence over the scope of the data that YouTube collects using these plugins. Further information about handling user data can be found in the data protection declaration of YouTube under https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
5. Who has access to your data?
We may share your personal data:

- with our suppliers and service providers, including the entity hosting the website for us (Frank Limbacher, limstyle webdesign, Munich, Germany), and other organisations providing IT and related services to us.
- with law enforcement and other governmental or regulatory authorities where we are required or permitted by law to do so.
- when you have consented to us doing so.
Please note that where it is necessary to transfer your data to a recipient outside of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA), we will comply with all transfer requirements applicable under data protection laws. You may request a copy of the arrangements we implemented with recipients located outside the EU and the EEA by contacting us via the channels indicated in section 6.
6. Your rights under data protection laws

- At your request, we will correct the inaccurate or incomplete data stored by us in relation to you.
- You have the right to request the deletion of your data, if doing so is not in conflict with other statutory provisions (e.g. statutory retention periods) or an overriding interest on our part (e.g. for the defence of our rights and claims).
- You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data. In such cases, we may only use the data for certain limited purposes set out by the law.
- In certain cases, you also have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or have it sent to a third party.
- In addition, you have the right to revoke any consent given to us for the processing of personal data with future effect at any time. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, that does not make the data processing carried out by us prior to receiving your request unlawful.

You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority located, for example, in the country of your habitual residence or place of work. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct marketing. If we receive such objection from you, we will stop processing your data for direct marketing purposes.
